Girls Cross Country: Germantown Academy Finishes Sixth at PAISAAs, Places Two on All-State Team

PHILADELPHIA -- The Germantown Academy girls cross country team placed sixth at the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association Championships, held at Belmont Plateau, 在周六, 10月. 28. 

The Patriots tallied 128 team points, as William Penn Charter won the event with 91 points.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Nieve Keitel '27 paced the Patriots, finishing third overall. The freshman turned in a time of 20:37.33 and earned First Team All-PAISAA honors. She was also the first freshman to cross the finish line, doing so 27 seconds faster than the next undergraduate. 
  • Annabelle Steckel '28 finished as the fastest eighth grader in the Varsity race, recording a personal-best time of 21:35 to take 10th place. Her performance earned her Second Team All-PAISAA honors.  
  • Abby Durkin '24 took 15th with a personal-best time of 22:10. 
  • Allison Eichsteadt '25 and Lauren Truong '26 rounded out the scorers for GA, going 24:55.54和26:14.30, respectively. 
  • Lyla Perry '26 crossed in 30:26.

The Patriots have 11 days before they are set to do battle with Penn Charter on GA/PC Day (Nov. 11). That race is scheduled to begin at 9:30am at Penn Charter.
